The engineering and technology group SENER will show at the 2012 edition of Eurosatory, the International Exhibition for Land Defense and Security, some of its recent projects in this sector. Among them are: the program to extend the life of the Spanish Navy AB212 helicopters, the SMU unit of the Saab RBS 70 NG system or the future refurbishment program of HOT missiles.

Roberto Felipe has been appointed General Manager of the engineering and construction company SENER in Mexico, replacing Jose Manuel Belmonte. In his new role, his main task will be to take advantage of opportunities to participate in the development of the country's infrastructure, both in the Civil and Architecture and as in the Power, Oil and Gas fields, as well as in other opportunities in the Aerospace and Marine sectors.

SENER has been nominated for the European Business Awards for the Environment that the European Commission delivers, biennially, in recognition of the business work in four categories: good management practices, products, international cooperation activities and processes. SENER, nominated in the latter category, is the only Spanish company to receive this recognition, after a total of 156 nominations from 24 member countries of the European Union. The Spanish engineering company will compete in Process category, in which it has been nominated, along with two other candidate companies to get the final prize.

Enrique de Sendagorta Aramburu, founder and Honorary President of the SENER engineering and technology group was awarded the National Lifetime Innovation Award on Thursday morning March 22 as part of the 2011 National Innovation and Design Awards, Spain's highest honor for recognizing companies and professionals notable for their exemplary careers in the field of design and innovation.

Joanna Lachowska-Keane has been named as the new Manager of the Engineering and Construction company SENER in Poland, replacing Lope Seco who had held the position since being entrusted with opening the office in 2006.
