SENER establishes an office in Abu Dhabi
SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas, S.A. has opened a new office in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. This new office is located in the Gulf Business Centre district of downtown Abu Dhabi.
SENER is making a major contribution towards the integration of the taurus missile into the spanish air force's C/CE.15 aircraft (EF-18 A)
During May 2009 the Spanish Air Force successfully completed the integration of its first cruise missile into the C/CE.15 (EF-18 A) multirole combat aircraft, as part of the Operation 'Southern Cross', which rounds off the process of integrating the TAURUS KEPD-350 missile.
SENER wins the Prince Felipe Award for Business Excellence
SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas, S.A. has won Prince Felipe Award for Business Excellence in the 'Technological Innovation for Large Companies' thanks to its CAD/CAE/CAM FORAN software. The FORAN System, designed by the company in the 1960s, is currently one of the most used maritime construction programmes in the world, present in 130 shipyards in more than 27 countries. With this award, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce acknowledges this software as a relevant technological product with proven success in Spain and abroad.
SENER and MASDAR announce joint venture
Spanish engineering group SENER GRUPO DE INGENIERÍA S.A. and MASDAR, Abu Dhabi´s alternative energy company, today announced a joint venture – Torresol Energy – to design, build and operate concentrating solar power (CSP) plants in the world´s sunbelt regions. One of Torresol Energy´s primary objectives is to widen the adoption of CSP and make it more compatible with grid parity.
