SENER carries out dynamic fluid analyses, such as the analysis and resolution of exhaust fumes on the HVAC system; thermal analyses, with optimisation in engine housings; crack growth analyses; collision analyses, using test campaign to correlate the models simulated in the crash calculation; impact analyses; safety analyses; and noise and vibration analyses.
In manned vehicles, SENER conducts detailed studies and calculation models in order to improve occupant protection. When designing vehicle interiors, the company performs a modal analysis as the first step towards ensuring passenger comfort, as more rigid structures provide greater comfort for occupants without increasing vehicle weight.
In addition to this, the company generates finite-element models to analyse the behaviour of the response to dynamic excitation, noise and vibrations. It uses these to analyse Frequency Response Functions, carries out all types of test campaigns in order to validate and correlate computational models of sources of vibrations, and carries out ambient noise analyses with detailed studies of noise sources, allowing the most problematic and relevant sources to be detected in order to come up with precise, focused solutions. It also performs test campaigns that aim to classify caused vibrations. The data obtained during these test campaigns are used to obtain more detailed models of running noise and to develop new noise-elimination systems.
