For over forty years, SENER has had an ongoing commitment for research and development of aeronautical and space technology. The Aerospace Strategic Business Unit is responsible for all Space, Aeronautical and Vehicle, Defence and Security projects and new markets such as those for scientific and medical systems or solar mechanisms.
We provide engineering, equipment production and systems integration services to the aerospace industry and our vocation for innovation has been applied with proven success in the most important international projects and initiatives.
At the same time, SENER designs, develops, mass produces, integrates and tests actuation and control systems for application in defence, propulsion, industrial machinery and equipment for the thermo-solar and electro-medical industry. Moreover, SENER provides after-sales logistical support. SENER is one of the only three Spanish companies with a simultaneous presence in the fields of Space, Aeronautical and Defence.
Besides, SENER owns 100% of NTE-SENER, S.A., a company that comprises the business lines of space systems for manned missions and life support systems in space, astronomy and science and the biomedical systems line. In all of these areas, NTE-SENER develops activities that range from feasibility and system studies to the supply of hardware prototypes and small series that include product integration and verification. Its main clients include institutions such as the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and the European Space Agency (ESA).
