SENER presents five technical papers at the Conference on Astrodynamics Tools and Techniques

The SENER engineering company, with more than 40 years in the space industry, will be actively represented at the International Conference on Astrodynamics Tools and Techniques, due to be held between May 3 and 6, 2010 in Madrid.
Engineers from SENER's Space department will be presenting five technical papers, titled: ‘PROBA3 Precise Formation Flying System: Design & Development Tools and Methods for FFS Implementation in a Technology Demonstration Mission’, a study on Satellite Constellations and Formation Flying Tools and Techniques based on the Proba3 mission, of which SENER is the main contractor, and which will be given by Lorenzo Tarabini; ‘Low Thrust SK Technique Using Transfer Thrusters’, given by Guillermo Rodríguez; ‘Optos: More than a Cubesat’, on the Optimization and Dynamics of satellites on the basis of SENER's experience in the Optos picosatellite given by Jose María Fernández; ‘Integrated Test Bench For Rapid GNC Design Verification and Validation’, given by Enrique Rodríguez, and ‘Optical Navigation Verification Test Bench’, by Pablo Rodríguez, both of them on verification and validation methods.
SENER employees have also co-authored a further two papers that will be presented during the conferences by the companies with which SENER is sharing the development work: ‘End to End Low Thrust Transfer Optimization and Simulation’ and ‘Optimisation of NS, EW Station-Keeping Manoeuvres for GEO Satellites using Electric Propulsion (OPASKEP)’.
